Ministry Team

You might ask who leads our ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist. Well, our ministry team at Mt. Zion Baptist has many members -- too many to mention and acknowledge. Whether the pastor or a nursery worker, we each serve as a member of God’s team at Mt. Zion. However, we thought you’d like to know a little about our pastor, associate pastor and minister of music as our worship leaders.

Pastor & Mrs. Mock	Our pastor, Ben Mock, and his family came to Jasper to begin pastoral leadership at Mt. Zion Baptist after serving for many years as missionaries in Ecuador. Pastor Mock has a heart for missions, desiring that the world to have the opportunity to hear of their Savior. Pastor Mock leads our worship with adoration of our Lord by presenting the truth of the Word that every person may have the knowledge to be saved, to strengthen their relationship with Christ or to seek and to serve where the Lord may lead.

Pastor & Mrs. Ramirez	Associate Pastor Tony Ramirez walks alongside of Pastor Mock in the desire to seek lost souls and to serve the Savior. His kind heart and generous spirit brings a warmth and humbleness to our worship and our team. Pastor Ramirez and his wife, Cindy, also work enthusiastically with the youth of the church in many outlets of activities and service. Cindy also leads the ladies’ Community Bible Study on Thursdays.

David Holmes	David Holmes leads our blend of traditional and contemporary Christian music at Mt. Zion Baptist. He diligently seeks the right blend of music to suit all ears, and to bring a song of praise into our worship services. His heart for serving our Lord coupled with his gifts of talent bring a blessing into each worship service.
